Manager of Advocacy

The Manager of Advocacy will help ensure all students have an excellent and equitable education by advancing a policy agenda aligned with community partners. In this role, s/he would focus on advancing both state and local policy, initially in two important priority areas for the Partnership related to strengthening our regional educator pipelines and providing a quality early childhood education to all students.

The Chief Analytics & Strategy Officer will be a vital member of the Commit! leadership team, reporting directly to Executive Director Todd Williams. Supported by an analytics group of five professionals, she or he will work closely with the team to further strengthen the organization’s data capabilities while assisting leaders in other Texas communities in their efforts.

Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper willl be responsible for payroll twice monthly and financial record-keeping and transactions, including accounts payable, receivable and general ledger. The desired individual will have proficiency with accounting software management, experience working with nonprofit accounting practices, demonstrated professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals, strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with the team.

Analytics Associate

The Partnership seeks an analytical, detail-oriented, enthusiastic and self-motivated team member to assist in managing the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and dissemination of data to support Partnership activities in improving student outcomes. The Analytics Associate will report to the Director of Analytics and work closely with all members of the Commit! team, whose work ranges from Early Childhood to College Access & Success. The Associate will have access to great learning experiences with opportunities to stretch themselves and will be exposed to high-impact education work.

Whether analyzing data to build a case for greater educational investment or publishing content for case studies or social media posts, there are a variety of opportunities for interns to make a difference. Winter 2016-2017 Extern

The Extern would report to the Chief Operating Officer at Commit! and work with the Senior Vice President of Education at the Dallas Regional Chamber, and Leadership at local colleges and universities to develop recommendations that would guide better data transparency between institutions, better policy at a state and institutional level, and better practices within institutions that strategically support students. The Extern would be an opportunity for up to six months to help advance a priority for the Partnership around developing comprehensive transfer pathways to reach our state goal of 60% College Attainment by 2030.
