Carissa Grisham, Strategy & Analytics Senior Associate

Carissa is proud to be a product of DFW public schools. Her passion for educational equity resulted from seeing the disparity between the life outcomes of her father, who ‘lucked into’ attending college, and those of her aunts, who were not afforded the same opportunity. This was her impetus for co-founding a volunteer organization during her freshman year at Southern Methodist University that connects college students to tutoring and mentoring opportunities with various public and charter schools. While at SMU, Carissa also co-founded an early-childhood literacy campaign and taught in a summer college-prep program for high-achieving DISD students.

Before joining Commit! Carissa worked at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. There she worked for non-and for-profit clients on strategy and performance improvement projects. She has worked on a transformation project with a higher-ed client to improve student outcomes by reducing tuition growth and reallocating funds to academic initiatives. She has also worked with a museum to focus their educational efforts on underserved niches of the STEM-ed market where the organization would be uniquely able to serve educators and students.

Carissa graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Economic Sociology.
