We often hear of the "achievement gap" and may even know some of the local dropout statistics. In his recent Dallas Observer blog post, "By the Numbers: Few Black Students Leave DISD College-Ready," Greg Howard draws attention to startling data related to a different concept: college readiness. And, despite the title, the article references Dallas County data that is worth knowing regardless of race or district.
